Automation Engineer

K-One Technology Bhd. and its subsidiaries, jointly known as the K-One Group, is a technology solutions provider listed on Bursa Malaysia. It is driven by two key businesses; a) OEM/ODM of IoT products, healthcare/medical devices, consumer electronics, automotive aggregates, security and surveillance gadgets, industrial products, mobile phone accessories and computer peripherals, primarily for multinationals worldwide and b) provision of cloud computing services. In conjunction with our recent expansion, we are seeking a motivated candidate to fill the following position:

Responsibilities:

  • To design and implement automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • To work with process owners in providing technical expertise in automation system design, proof of concept (PoC), system installation and implementation.
  • To prepare documentations for automation systems such as fabrication drawings, electrical circuit diagrams, maintenance drawings and operation manuals.
  • To lead automation systems commissioning, set-up and buy-off prior to transfer to manufacturing.
  • To support continuous improvement on existing assembly processes and identify opportunities of improvement for system upgrade or automation.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics/ E&E/ Mechanical/ Industrial/ Software) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience in factory or process automation.
  • Experienced with machine mechanical design, sensor application, pneumatic and servo systems.
  • Proficient in schematic diagram design, debugging of electrical issues and sensor applications.
  • Familiar with equipment host software using SECS GEM, PLC, C++ programming language or microcontroller application.
  • Proficient in Solidworks and AutoCAD is an added advantage.
  • Strong interest in technical design and hands-on assembly for robotic application/factory automation.
  • Creative and able to work independently.
